GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN ALERT: IRS announces it will not issue refunds

The IRS announced today that they will stop sending tax refunds due to the government shutdown. Of course they will still accept and will still process your payments. The announcement is as follows:
Due to the current lapse in appropriations, IRS operations are limited. During this period, we are accepting all tax returns, but only processing payments. When the government reopens, we will resume normal processing of returns and issuance of refunds. If you receive a message from “Where’s My Refund” stating your refund is delayed and to call the IRS, we will be unable to assist you at this time. You do not need to take any action. Please check “Where’s My Refund” again 2 days after the government reopens for updated information.
If you have any questions on how the governmental shutdown will affect you please contact my office.
